Next week we are kicking off the detailed planning stage for our capital referendum projects. We anticipate the detailed planning process will last until October. The district will then go out for bids in December/January with official construction starting in the spring of 2024. Construction will then wrap up during the summer of 2025. It is our desire to have Facility Advisory Committee (FAC) to help serve as advisors to the district during the planning and construction phases. Do you have specialized knowledge in the field of construction, HVAC, electrical, interior design, etc.? Or just want to be a part of the referendum process? If so, we would love to have you join this advisory committee! We anticipate the FAC will meet at least monthly (at night), possibly more often, depending on how fast the planning process happens. The FAC will be advisory in nature. If you would like to be a part of the FAC, please send Dr. Scott an email at dscott@pecatonica.k12.wi.us. We look forward to our communities' help during these exciting times! #VikingNation #PecatonicaProud

Senior Spotlight: McKenna Mobley
Future Plans: My plans for after graduation are continuing my education at UW La Crosse.
Favorite Teacher & Why: My favorite teacher is Mr. Halvorson. For all four years of high school I only remember having good days in his room. I have learned so much and made so many wonderful memories in band (and occasionally choir haha). He made every class fun, hilarious, and full of energy. He knows when to absolutely roast his students and still is able to push you to truly be the best you can be. He's the epitome of a fantastic teacher.
And an honorable mention to another fantastic teacher, Mr. Roberts, for pushing me to be my best and strongly encouraging me to be a woman in STEM every single day. Your persistence is impressive.
Favorite Memory at Pec: A few of my favorite memories include eating all of the "sample" fundraiser chocolate in the band room, riding across the entire golf course in a metal golf cart during a lightning storm with Mr. Halvorson, getting to scream at Madilyn in forensics everyday, and laughing far too loudly with my friends in the art room. And just about every day of band.
Advice for Underclassmen: Enjoy it. It really does fly by and before you know it you're trying on your cap and gown. Listen to and learn from your teachers, make as many memories as you can, and do a little bit of everything.
