We are pleased to provide the twelfth progress report for the work being completed for Pecatonica School District. In this report we focus on the renovation progress at the Elementary School.
Elementary School classes moved into the building addition. - Temporary walls constructed to section off the East wing of Area 1. - Started demolition of existing Gym and East classrooms. - Mechanical mezzanine steel was erected and the air handler was installed. - Underground plumbing was installed and new LMC topping slab was poured.
The Design and Construction team continued efforts on: - PRA has issued Construction Bulletin #17 for the project. - PRA and CGS reviewing requests for information. - Optimizing use of space through design at the Elementary School. - Coordinating with the school with construction phasing.
Finish installation in the three East classrooms and turnover rooms back to the school. - Continued build out of the future LMC. - Modify temporary partitions to section off Area 2 for the next phase of spring renovation work.
At the Elementary School the teachers and students have moved in and are using the new building addition classrooms and gym. This move vacated the existing gym and a few classrooms for renovation work to begin while school is in session. Fully insulated temporary drywall partitions have been installed to separate the construction zone from the rest of the school. Demolition and build out work has progressed in the new classrooms and future LMC.
