Our Mission:  The mission of the Pecatonica Area Schools library system is to ensure that all students become effective locators and users of ideas and information.

We provide instruction on location of materials, use of information, access

to materials in a variety of formats and we work with other educators and libraries to provide materials desired by our patrons.

Library Etiquette:  General library etiquette encourages students to work quietly in the library.  Students may converse while completing work or engaging in computer usage, however, the rights of those studying take precedence over those who are conversing.  In the event that a class or study hall is being held in the library, other students are expected to be respectful and quiet.

Loan Periods: 2 weeks.  Materials may be renewed upon request

Chromebooks: Pecatonica has a 1:1 Chromebook initiative for all K-12 students.  K-4th grade Chromebooks remain at school, checked out to the student for the entire year; returned to the library a week before school is out.  Students 5th-12th will be expected to carry Chromebooks back and forth from home to school, fully charged and ready for each day. These will be checked out for the entire year to the student and returned to the library at the end of the year.

e-Books and Audio books: Check out our digital selection through the tab Overdrive for Education, (a shared collection with other Wisconsin schools)  or simply browse through our card catalog to see our "e" selection.  Patrons click on "details" of the e-book and follow the prompts to log in with students account to check out the book. Overdue Policy:  Returning materials on time is necessary so all library patrons can access the materials.  Responsible citizenship requires that materials be returned promptly. Overdue notices will be issued periodically.  No overdue fines will be charged. After four weeks, an overdue book may be considered lost and a bill may be issued for the replacement cost of the material.  A bill may also be issued for damaged material.
