As many of you are aware, there was a fire in Hollandale on Friday evening, and a family of 6 was displaced. The home is a total loss. Everyone is fine, as they were not at home at the time. However, there is a lot to rebuild. The school has set up an account at the Farmer's Savings Bank in Hollandale. If you would like to donate cash to the account, please make your checks payable to the "Mattison Family Fund." We can collect checks at either school building or you can take ...them to Farmer's Savings Bank (501 2nd Ave, Hollandale, WI 53544)

For other items - the outpouring of support through clothing and toys and household items has been wonderful and they are sufficient for now. The community has also pulled together to find a place for them to stay while they recover this loss.

Small towns are wonderful families when one of their own is in need. So thank you all for your concern and your generosity from the bottom of our hearts.

*** Updates on donation bins:
1. Blanchardville Village Hall has a spot if you'd like to donate items.
2. Dave & Cindy Whitford have donated a storage space at Unit B6, in the Village of Hollandale.
3. Blanchard Hall at 206 S. Main St. in Blanchardville, also has a place for donations.
(The school will help move things from the donation centers in Blanchardville)

****Update on monetary donation sites:
1. The Cenex Stations in Blanchardville, New Glarus, and Argyle, and the Sunoco in Hollandale will also keep a collection can that will be picked up by the school and taken to the bank to be donated to the family.
