This is the image for the news article titled Great Lakes Apple CrunchPecatonica Elementary School joined other K-12 schools, early care settings, hospitals, colleges/universities, business campuses, state agencies and other organizations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio in celebrating National Farm to School Month by crunching into locally grown apples in the 2017 Great Lakes Apple Crunch on October 12th.

In Wisconsin alone there are 260,418 students, food service staff, children, teachers and community members Crunching at 1000 different locations across the state. That's a lot of people making noise for Wisconsin farmers, healthy food, and growing connections between urban and rural communities! 

Pecatonica Elementary students and staff crunched 213 apples.
