Camp Pecatonica FAQ

What is Camp Pecatonica? Camp Pecatonica is a day long and summer long camp for children entering 4K through grade 6 in the fall.

When is it? Camp runs from 7:30am until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, starting Monday June 5th, and concluding Friday, August 18th.

Who can attend? Kids who are 4 years old by September 1, 2017 through age 12.

Do my kids have to go to Pec? No, your children don’t have to attend Pecatonica Schools to attend the Day Camp.

What kinds of things will they do? All types of activities are planned! Children will engage in games, athletics, teamwork activities, arts and crafts, nature, field trips, healthy eating and lifestyle, and social well-being activities. We have trips planned to the pool, to local farms and festivals, as well as activities that include fishing, exploration, and State and local Parks.

How do I sign my kids up? Please fill out the registration information form linked at the top of this page.

Do they have to come every day or for the full day? No, although if they sign up for days in advance there is a better deal/rate available because it helps us plan staffing in advance. We will have half-day rates available.

Is there a reduced rate during summer school weeks? No, the full time and drop in times will still apply as we will have staff hired to supervise children during those days.

How much will it cost? The costs will vary based on half-day/full-day and the numbers of days, but we promise it will be very reasonable for the quality of programming provided.

What is included or not included? Activities and supplies, as well as two snacks per day are provided. Children will need to bring a cold lunch with them every day. Children will need to bring bug spray and sun screen for their personal use to keep at camp. We recommend that children also have a water-bottle for their own use. Some families choose to bring a bathing suit and towel to keep at camp on a weekly basis.
